ON-LINE CHRISTIAN COUNSELING SERVICES
Here You Will Find Encouragement!
Our online Christian counseling pursues wellness of the whole person from a uniquely spiritual perspective. I will pray with you and for you; your privacy and confidentiality will be protected; and your religious convictions will be respected. I offer online Christian counseling via Google Meet.
Specialty areas: temperament analysis, relationships, parenting, depression, anger, faith and life practices, effective communication, adjustment to changes of life, etc.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Before the First Session, I like to speak with prospective clients by telephone to determine the reason for seeking counseling and to discuss online Christian counseling logistical and financial matters. When the first appointment is scheduled, I email the necessary intake forms to you. Please fill these out completely and return them prior to your first session. You will also receive a separate email with instructions for accessing my online waiting room. THIS INITIAL CONSULTATION IS FREE AND WITHOUT OBLIGATION.
At the First Session, This session will be devoted to reviewing your intake forms and listening to you describe the challenges that brought you to counseling.
Second and Subsequent Sessions will be devoted to teaching you about your temperament and strategizing ways to meet your temperament needs while resolving your problems and challenges. We will use discussion, prayer, Bible readings, relevant study guides and worksheets; and there is normally some sort of homework for you to complete between sessions.
WHAT IS TEMPERAMENT ASSESSMENT?
This Biblically-based assessment (known as the Arno Profile System, or APS) identifies an individual's inborn, God-given temperament. Temperament determines why you respond to people, situations, and the environment the way you do. You will receive a personal copy of this report and have an opportunity to validate the results. I have found this assessment to be nearly 100% accurate as affirmed by clients. It helps us pinpoint automatic behaviors, thoughts, and attitudes that may be contributing to the challenges that bring you to counseling, which in turn gives a direction for the counseling efforts.
Parents: This assessment is also an excellent resource to help you gain knowledge about your child's temperament and plan more effective parenting strategies that will work well for both you and your child. The APS can be administered to children age 7 and up. The APS will be administered to both you and your child.
YOUR MOST POWERFUL THERAPEUTIC TOOLS
The Word of God--the Holy Bible--and prayer, are the most powerful therapeutic tools you can use to begin your healing process. As you align your thinking and behavior to the example of God's Word, coming into agreement with the Holy Spirit, you will begin to thrive. "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:2)
